ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø is located in the beautifully historic . is home to a number of businesses envisioned, developed and run by ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni including , , and all of whom our located in Downtown Elon. Downtown ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍøis also home to the first in the south and is the second location in North Carolina for the .
The Town of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍøalso offers two parks with walking trails and programming five minutes from campus. Downtown ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍøhosts a variety of events throughout the year open to the community.
is 10 minutes from campus and features , a large outdoor shopping mall, a variety of restaurants and the beautiful Lake Mackintosh, an 1100-acre lake with canoeing, paddle-boats and outdoor picnic facilities, just minutes from campus. It is home to the , a handcrafted menagerie carousel built in the early 1900s by the Dentzel Carousel Company and featuring hand-carved animals. The county also includes historical sites, such as the Alamance Battleground and the WWII Home-front Museum.
Other shopping opportunities include , a newly renovated indoor shopping mall with a variety of restaurants, retail stores and events. The first and only indoor shopping mall in the county, Holly Hill is located just minutes from campus. Also nearby are the , with more than 75 outlet stores and restaurants.
Three of the public elementary schools in the county offer Spanish language immersion programs, Elon, Smith and South Graham Elementary School. With the help of Splash! Language Immersion, several schools have established where all instruction is given in Spanish by native speaking teachers.
Local farms and wineries provide opportunities for community members to pick their own fresh fruits and enjoy some of the local wine the county has to offer.

Triad to the Triangle
Just off the I-40 corridor, Elon’s location provides access to some of the state’s largest metropolitan areas, as well as numerous outdoor and leisure activities. A short distance to our west sit the triad cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, and to the east Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh, the anchors of the triangle. With populations of 1.6 million and 1.7 million respectively, these areas contain renowned furniture factories, top golf courses, shopping opportunities and historic sites, as well as hiking, swimming and skiing opportunities.
